Thanks to Nanamis super searching techniques, and my ability to make a very sad and innocent face, I guilted her into letting me win this rare merchandise :D teehee. Neither of us had any knowledge of its existence until now, and there's a good reason for it. From what we can tell, it was made for an event in Tokyo called "Geki" and was presumably designed for this event just before the release of the game in Japan, in 1998. The item itself is called a "Nobori". It is basically a banner designed with hooks to hang it, exactly like this:
Nobori Picture. It is over 10 years old now, and there have probably been very very few of these made since it was for this event only. Knowing its rarity and seeing its wonderful design, I think Nan described it best when she said "it is a treasure"

imagen de nobori. Ahora tiene más de 10 anyos y probablemente hay muy pocos de estos dado a que son sólo para eventos. Sabiendo su rareza y viendo su fantaástico disenyo creo que Nan lo describió perfectamente cuando dijo: es un tesoro.
Buscando información, hoy encontré unas imágenes de estos mangas, algo así como un mapa de personajes, mostrando la relación que tienen entre ellos. También encontré alguna información: la historia es la misma hasta donde sé, pero han cambiado los nombres de los protagonistas respecto a las novelas: Tir será llamado Ryoi y Riou será llamado Tao. Las imágenes y la información las he sacado de esta web y de varios de los links que aparecen en ella. Cuando tenga los mangas actualizaré de nuevo con los scans, pero tardarán en llegar, así que mientras esto es todo lo que puedo ofrecer^^

even with the ever increasing amount of new merchandise we've been seeing these past weeks for our beloved series, it still may come as a surprise to you that the Japan-exclusive PSP port of Suikoden 1 and 2 has now been made into a "Konami The Best" or "Konami Besuto" version :P. In stores November 5th, with a price tag of 2,940yen. Apparently sales of the original PSP port weren't so hot in Japan, which makes you wonder why Konami decided to make this version of it. Perhaps it's because they love this serious just as much as we do :) awwwww, isnt it cute? There haven't been any changes in this version from the original port, except for the front cover design, which isnt all that different, but is much uglier, however :). Even though they are re-releasing this in Japan, there is little evidence to support the idea that they will be releasing this anywhere outside of Japan. You can pre-order it here.
Like some of you should know, this future 2010 year will be the 15th suikoden anniversary. We didnt have even the 14th anniversary still, but konami is starting to celebrate it with a cd which has 1 song for every suikoden 1-5 and tierkreis in vocal, and another one for each in piano. That includes some famous songs like Reminiscence or Her sigh (Radat's theme). This cd will be on sale on December 18th, 2009 (3 days after suikoden 14th anniversary and 1 day after suikoden II 11st aniversary). Thats called Vol. 1 so I think they would do more in all year 2010. The image of the cd is this one but i think thats only temporary and they will change it in no time.
